Each year, OPM conducts the Federal Employee Viewpoint
Survey (FEVS). The 2014 edition included
392,752 participants in the survey from 82 agencies
While 50% of those older than 50 responded, only 37% under
30 participated
Of the areas of strength, the most positively rated item was
“When needed, I am willing to put in the extra effort to get the job done.”
Of the areas identified as challenges, the most negatively
rated item was “Pay raises depend on how well employees perform their jobs.”
34% of those who responded have Master’s degree or higher
29% telework, while 43% were unsure if they’re able to
telework
11% were millennials.
From 2010 to 2014, the viewpoint on leaders leading has gone
from 55% down to 50%. During the same
time frame, job satisfaction fell from 72% to 64%, pay satisfaction from 66% to
56%, organization satisfaction from 62% to 55%, and would recommend
organization from 70% to 62%.
